Documentation – from planning to final product

We always start new projects by drawing up a general progress plan and arranging with the client how the work is to proceed and be distributed. The phases below describe our tried-and-tested model.

Information-gathering

  • Practical introduction to the product.
  • Sourcing of information on the product, e.g. specifications, previous documentation and marketing materials.
  • Access to a test version of the product.
  • Assign a contact to answer any questions we might have.

Design

  • We create templates and agree on the design and layout of the documentation.

Structure

  • We set up a structure/layout for the documentation.
  • We create a prototype with the right design and structure for you to approve before production gets underway.

Production

  • We enter content into the structure.

Testing

  • We proof the documentation.
  • We test the technical features of the documentation.
  • You quality assure the contents of the documentation.

Project close-out

  • We make any adjustments in response to your feedback.
  • We produce the final version of the documentation.
